NTSB Appoints Representative for Papua New Guinea BN2 Accident

Notification and Appointment of Representative The government of Papua New Guinea notified the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an accident involving a Britten Norman BN2 airplane. The accident occurred on April 13, 2016. In response to the notification, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative. This representative was tasked with assisting the government of Papua New Guinea in its investigation of the accident. ## Investigative Authority and Information Release The appointment of the U.S. Accredited Representative was made under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13. The government of Papua New Guinea retains authority over the investigation. All investigative information related to the accident will be released by the government of Papua New Guinea.
