NTSB Appoints Representative for 2014 Boeing 737-400 Accident in Afghanistan

Official Notification and Appointment of Representative The Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA) informed the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an accident involving a Boeing 737-400 that occurred on May 8, 2014. In response, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the ACAA in its investigation. ## Role Under ICAO Annex 13 The appointment was made under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, with the NTSB acting in its capacity as the State of Manufacturer and Design of the aircraft.
