Event Description
A pilot and three passengers were aboard a twin-engine airplane preparing for departure. As the airplane neared a taxiway intersection, the right main landing gear collapsed. The collapse caused the right wing tank and right engine propeller to contact the ground.
Examination Findings
Post-incident examination of the airplane documented substantial damage to the right wing and damage to the right engine propeller. Further inspection of the landing gear system determined that the gear had not been properly rigged.
Probable Cause
The investigation identified that the landing gear was not properly rigged, which led to the collapse.
