Accident Details

On August 8, 2014, at approximately 1920 coordinated universal time, a Quicksilver MXL Sport II motorized ultralight aircraft, registration EC-FL8, was substantially damaged after impacting terrain during takeoff. The aircraft was departing from Aeródromo de Sotos (LESS) in Cuenca, Spain for a local flight. The pilot was fatally injured in the accident.
