What happened
On January 28, 2015, a Cessna 310B, registration N131X, was cruising at 8,000 feet mean sea level when the pilot reported the aircraft ran out of fuel. Following the loss of engine power, the pilot performed a forced landing into a field. The impact resulted in substantial damage to the aircraft. The pilot was not injured.
At the time of the accident, weather conditions were reported as Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC) with a visibility of 4 statute miles and winds from 120 degrees at 10 knots.
