Incident Overview
On 29 May 2015, an air traffic controller at the approach control service of military aerodrome EPRA observed a Cessna 206 on the radar indicator within the temporarily reserved zone TRA 05A. The pilot was conducting a flight along the route Wąchock–Szydłowiec and violated the TRA 05A zone, where military aviation flights were taking place.
Findings
The investigation determined that the incident occurred due to the flight crew's improper preparation concerning information about the activity of flexible airspace elements along the planned route, and the lack of clearance from air traffic control services to enter the active temporary reserved zone TRA 05A.
Safety Recommendations
After completing the investigation, the State Commission on Aircraft Accident Investigation (PKBWL) did not formulate any safety recommendations.
