Incident Overview
On June 16, 2016, a Jetstream BA-32 aircraft, bearing Argentine registration LV-ZST, was involved in an incident involving an engine fire that occurred during an engine test. The aircraft is equipped with Honeywell TPE331 turbo propeller engines.
Investigation
The Argentinian Junta de Investigacion de Accidentes de Aviacion Civil (JIAAC) has initiated an investigation into the incident. In accordance with international protocols, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) was notified. The NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the JIAAC under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, as the United States is the State of Manufacturer and Design of the engine.
