Accident Notification
On September 8, 2016, a Cessna 210 airplane was involved in an accident in Kenya. The Kenya Air Accident Investigation Department (AAID) notified the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the occurrence.
International Cooperation
In accordance with ICAO Annex 13, which governs the investigation of aviation accidents, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative. This representative will assist the AAID's investigation, as the United States is the State of Manufacturer and Design of both the airplane and its engine.
Investigation Status
The AAID has stated that all investigative information will be released by their department. No further details about the circumstances of the accident, including location, occupants, injuries, or damage, have been disclosed by the AAID or NTSB at this time.
