Overview

On December 7, 2016, an ATR 42-500 aircraft was involved in an accident in Pakistan. The Pakistan Safety Investigation Board (PSIB) is leading the investigation under ICAO Annex 13 provisions.

Investigation

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) received notification from Pakistan regarding the accident. In response, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the PSIB. The representative will provide expertise as the State of Design of the engine propeller system and the State of Manufacture and Design of several propulsion control system components.
