Incident Overview
A solo student pilot reported that, during the takeoff roll, the airplane began to veer to the left. The pilot attempted to correct the deviation with right rudder input, but the airplane continued to veer left. The aircraft subsequently departed the runway surface and came to rest in a ditch against the perimeter fence.
Aircraft Damage
The airplane sustained substantial damage to the left lift strut.
