Incident Details

A light sport airplane was involved in a landing incident while conducting a flight review. The aircraft was equipped with a single control stick. According to the instructor, the pilot occupying the left seat had not flown for an extended period and was receiving instruction to complete a flight review. During the landing flare, the pilot applied forward stick input. The airplane subsequently impacted the runway, resulting in the collapse of the nose landing gear and the right main landing gear. The airplane then exited the right side of the runway and came to a stop in the grass safety area.
