Incident
On September 21, 2018, at approximately 1440 hours universal coordinated time, a Cessna T210L single-engine airplane, serial number 21060532 and bearing Mexican registration XB-NVG, impacted terrain on Mount Pico de Orizaba. The accident site was located near the boundary between the Mexican states of Veracruz and Puebla. The aircraft was destroyed, and all three individuals on board sustained fatal injuries.
Investigation
The investigation into the accident is under the jurisdiction and control of the Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC), the civil aviation authority of Mexico. The DGAC is responsible for determining the circumstances and causes of the accident.
