Accident Details
According to the pilot's report, the landing sequence began with a normal touchdown on a soft grass landing strip. After rolling approximately 130 feet, the nose landing gear (NLG) struck a soft ground depression. The impact caused the NLG to bend aft, and the nose wheel dragged through the grass for about 30 feet. Subsequently, the airplane nosed over and came to rest inverted. The pilot stated that this was his first landing at that airstrip and he was unaware of the hazards present on the rough surface.
