What happened

On December 20, 2024, at approximately 2315 Hawaii-Aleutian standard time, a Raytheon Aircraft Company C90A, registration N438CA, was involved in an accident near Honolulu, Hawaii. The aircraft, operated by Guardian Flight LLC as a Part 135 air medical flight, was carrying a pilot-in-command, a second-in-command, and two medical center specialty team members from Kapiolani Medical Center to pick up a patient on a neighboring island.

Immediately after the engines were started, the aircraft began an uncommanded roll forward. During this movement, the aircraft struck an unoccupied, parked Raytheon Aircraft Company C90A, registration N902TS, which was positioned across the ramp. The collision resulted in substantial damage to the right engine firewall and engine mounts of N438CA.

All four occupants on board N438CA were not injured.
