What happened
On June 29, 2025, at 10:33 mountain daylight time, a Piper PA-24-260, registration N9366P, was involved in an accident near West Yellowstone, Montana. The aircraft was being operated by MJC LIMITED LLC as a private flight under 14 CFR Part 91.
While performing a cross-country flight, the pilot reported a total electrical failure approximately 100 miles from the intended destination. The pilot decided to proceed to the destination. During the approach for landing, the pilot lowered the landing gear. As the aircraft was on the landing roll on runway 1, the landing gear collapsed, causing the airplane to slide to a stop on the runway.
The accident resulted in no injuries to the pilot, but the aircraft sustained substantial damage to the fuselage.
