What happened
While performing a takeoff roll at Nakhchivan Airport, the flight crew encountered an unforeseen issue as the aircraft reached a speed of 230 km/h. In response to the situation, the crew initiated an aborted takeoff. During this maneuver, the aircraft lost directional control and veered off the runway.
Following the departure from the paved surface, the aircraft struck a concrete parapet. The impact caused the aircraft to burst into flames. The accident resulted in 29 fatalities among the occupants. Additionally, one crew member and four passengers sustained injuries during the event.
