What happened
A cargo operation flying from Goma to Mbuji-Mayi ended in an accident during the landing phase. The aircraft, which was transporting fuel drums, experienced a heavy impact upon touching the runway. This intense force caused a structural failure in both wings. Following the initial impact, the landing gear partially collapsed, leading the aircraft to skid approximately 500 metres along the runway surface. The sequence concluded when the aircraft came to a stop on its left side. During the event, a fire ignited in the rear section of the cabin, which ultimately led to the destruction of the airframe.
