Accident Overview
A fatal accident occurred during an unauthorized crop-spraying flight for the Kolkhoz im. Kalinina at Novotitarovka, located in the Dinskaya district of the Krasnodar region. The pilot conducted unauthorized low-height maneuvers, leading to a collision with terrain obstacles. The aircraft subsequently crashed into a garden and caught fire, resulting in the deaths of both the pilot and a passenger.
Sequence of Events
The flight, which was part of agricultural operations, deviated from authorized procedures. While flying at low altitude, the aircraft struck a tree with a height of 7 meters. This initial impact was followed by collisions with additional trees and the mast of a powerline. The aircraft also damaged a house before coming to rest in a garden, where it ignited. The fire consumed the wreckage. The pilot and the sole passenger on board were killed.
Probable Cause
The official investigation identified the probable cause as pilot error. The accident was attributed to the pilot's unauthorized actions and decision-making during the flight.
