What happened
On an unspecified date, an aircraft departed from Novosibirsk-Severny Airport under the control of a solo pilot. During the flight, the pilot intentionally steered the aircraft into a multi-story residential structure located at ul. Stepnaya, d. 43/1. The impact triggered a significant fire that spread through the stairwell of the building, causing damage to approximately 30 individual apartments.
Findings
The collision resulted in five fatalities, which included the pilot and four residents of the building, three of whom were children. Additionally, the incident left 11 people injured; notably, none of the injured parties were related to the pilot. Investigations indicated that the pilot's actions were motivated by personal domestic issues.
