Incident Overview

A twin-engine aircraft conducting a training mission from Přerov to Trnava, with intermediate stops at Uherské Hradiště, Piešťany, and Levice, crashed in a wooded area 13 km southwest of Kroměříž. The aircraft departed Uherské Hradiště-Kunovice at 0827 local time, heading west. Six minutes later, the pilot encountered poor weather conditions characterized by low clouds and visibility limited to 100 meters. The airplane flew too low, struck tree tops, and crashed in flames. The aircraft was totally destroyed, and all seven crew members were killed.
