What happened
The incident occurred during a post-maintenance test flight at Morón AFB. The crew, which included pilots and engineers, had just completed the touchdown phase of the operation. As the aircraft was on the runway, it collided with a tank truck that was erroneously present in the active flight path. The impact caused both the vehicle and the airplane to explode immediately after the collision.
The accident resulted in three fatalities, comprising two members of the aircraft crew and the driver of the truck. Additionally, four other occupants sustained injuries as a result of the crash and subsequent explosion.
