What happened
Following departure from Kassel-Calden Airport, the aircraft experienced an engine failure. In response to the mechanical issue, the pilot declared an emergency and received clearance to perform a return to the airfield.
During the attempt to return to the airport, the pilot lost control of the aircraft type. The plane subsequently crashed in the vicinity of the airport. There were three fatalities recorded among the occupants of the flight.
