What happened
On the morning of the accident, a twin engine aircraft departed from Guidonia AFB at 11:20 local time. The flight was intended for Naples-Capodichino Airport and was operated by a crew consisting of two members.
During the flight, the aircraft encountered significant visibility issues caused by dense fog. While navigating through these conditions, the plane impacted the slope of Mt Colle Noce in the vicinity of Colle San Magno. The impact occurred at an elevation approximately 400 meters below the mountain's summit.
