Approach and Landing
While descending to Bamako-Senou Airport, the flight crew received information about adverse weather conditions at the destination. Thunderstorm activity and strong crosswinds were reported. The visibility was estimated to be in excess of 10 kilometers, leading the crew to proceed with the approach. They conducted a landing on runway 06.
Loss of Control
After touchdown, the aircraft encountered strong crosswinds, causing it to roll laterally to the left and right. The rolling motion resulted in the right wing making contact with the runway surface. The aircraft became uncontrollable and departed the runway to the right side.
Collision and Damage
Following the runway excursion, the aircraft collided with a bunker. The impact tore off the right wing. The aircraft subsequently came to rest in that position.
Occupants
All four crew members on board evacuated the aircraft without sustaining any injuries.
