What happened
Upon completing its landing at Holitipu Airport, a twin-engine aircraft entered into a collision with construction machinery located on the airfield. The impact occurred immediately following the aircraft's touchdown on the runway. The sequence of events concluded when the plane came to a complete stop at the site of the collision.
Findings
While the aircraft sustained damage that rendered it a total loss, there were no injuries reported among the occupants or ground personnel. The collision between the aircraft and the heavy machinery resulted in the aircraft being damaged beyond repair.
