What happened
A single-engine aircraft departed from Valencia at 14:00 local time, with an expected arrival time at Pariaguán scheduled for 15:18. During the final approach phase, while descending toward the Pariaguán Airport, the pilot contacted air traffic control to report the aircraft's position, noting it was approximately eight nautical miles from the destination. This communication served as the final radio contact from the flight.
Following the disappearance, search efforts located the wreckage the next day in a remote, isolated area. The impact occurred roughly eight minutes before the aircraft's scheduled arrival. There were three fatalities among the occupants of the aircraft.
Findings
No specific technical cause for the crash was detailed in the initial report, though the aircraft was in its descent phase when the incident occurred.
