What happened
Shortly after departing from Bamyan Airport, a single-engine aircraft struck the peak of a rocky mountain. The flight was engaged in a mission to repatriate the remains of a deceased soldier at the time of the accident. The impact with the terrain resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft.
During the crash, the two crew members on board were killed. Additionally, the accident resulted in five injuries among the passengers being transported on the flight.
