What happened
During the initial climb phase following departure from runway 10 at Port-au-Prince-Toussaint Louverture Airport, the aircraft experienced a sudden loss of power in one of its engines. In response to the mechanical failure, the pilot initiated an emergency descent to reach the ground safely.
The aircraft subsequently crash landed in the vicinity of Croix-des-Bouquets, situated approximately 5 km east of the departure airfield. Upon impact, the plane overturned and came to rest in an inverted position. The incident resulted in one injury to a passenger, while the aircraft sustained total loss of airworthiness due to damage sustained during the impact.
Findings
