Accident
Shortly after departing from Acandí-Alcides Fernandez Airport, a twin-engine aircraft entered a stall during its initial climb. The aircraft subsequently crashed into a residence located in the Miramar district, near the airport. The impact destroyed the aircraft.
Casualties
The pilot and one passenger were killed in the crash. Eight other occupants aboard the aircraft sustained injuries. There were no injuries or fatalities on the ground.
Probable Cause
The official investigation determined the probable cause to be a stall during initial climb, resulting from a combination of factors. The aircraft's total weight exceeded its maximum takeoff weight (MTOW). The center of gravity (CofG) was outside the allowable envelope. Additionally, poor flight planning contributed to the unsafe weight and balance conditions.
