What happened
Upon completing the landing phase at Roseau-Canefield, the pilot encountered significant challenges in decelerating the aircraft. The inability to bring the plane to a halt caused it to overshoot the runway area.
During the overrun, the aircraft struck a fence and continued moving until it became lodged against several different obstacles. While the impact caused the aircraft to be a total loss, there were no injuries reported among the passengers or crew. All seven occupants were able to exit the plane without harm.
Findings
- The primary factor in the accident was the pilot's difficulty in stopping the aircraft following touchdown.
