Accident
An aircraft traveling from Gaborone to Maun experienced an oil leak in the left engine. The pilot shut down the affected engine and feathered its propeller. Unable to maintain a safe altitude, the pilot attempted an emergency landing. The aircraft crash landed in a wooded area approximately 128 kilometers southwest of Pandamatenga.
Injuries and Damage
All five occupants sustained injuries. The aircraft was destroyed in the crash.
Engine Failure
According to reports, the left engine's oil pressure dropped while its temperature increased, indicating a failure that led to the shutdown.
