What happened
On the morning of the accident, a twin engine aircraft departed from Monterrey-Del Norte Airport at 08:20 local time. The flight was scheduled to proceed to Xalapa-El Lencero Airport in Veracruz. During the en route phase of the flight, the aircraft was navigating through marginal weather conditions.
While traversing the region, the plane struck the terrain in the Sierra Madre Oriental mountain range, specifically near the summit of Mirador. The impact was followed by a post-crash fire that completely destroyed the airframe. There were two fatalities among the occupants of the aircraft.
