Incident
The aircraft departed from Chiclayo Airport. During the initial climb, the crew contacted air traffic control and reported technical difficulties. The controller cleared the flight for an immediate return. While on the final approach, the crew was compelled to make an emergency landing. The aircraft crash-landed approximately 500 meters short of the runway.
Occupants and Damage
The aircraft carried eight occupants. All eight evacuated without injury. The aircraft sustained damage beyond repair and was considered destroyed.
Probable Cause
The official investigation determined the probable cause to be an engine failure during the initial climb. The reason for the engine failure remains unknown.
