What happened
A flight traveling from Newburgh-Stewart toward Ottawa, Ontario, crashed into Slide Mountain in the state of New York. The aircraft was being operated by a crew returning to Canada following the completion of an exchange course at Norfolk NAS in Virginia. Following the disappearance of the plane, search efforts located the wreckage two days after the incident occurred.
There were four fatalities among the occupants of the single engine airplane. No survivors were reported from the crash site.
