What happened
The incident involved a training flight departing from Cramlington Airport. During the initial climb phase, immediately following liftoff, the aircraft experienced an engine failure. As a result of this power loss, the machine entered a stall and subsequently impacted the ground. The crash resulted in the destruction of the airframe. Both individuals on board sustained injuries, though no fatalities were reported.
Findings
Official investigations identified the primary contributing factor as the cessation of engine power shortly after takeoff. This mechanical failure prevented the aircraft from maintaining altitude and led directly to the stall and subsequent impact.
