What happened
On the evening of the accident, an aircraft departed from Rio de Janeiro-Santos Dumont Airport at 18:10 local time. Approximately twenty minutes into the flight, while the plane was traveling alongside the coastline, it experienced a loss of control. Following the failure of the flight to reach its destination, search and rescue operations were initiated. The wreckage of the aircraft was not located until two days after the initial disappearance. There were 10 fatalities among the occupants of the plane.
