What happened

A specialized mission flight operating on behalf of the Bank of Bogotá was conducting a series of stops across several remote locations. The itinerary included visits to Barranca de Upía, San Pedro de Arimena, Orocuë, San Luis de Palenque, Aguazul, Monterrey, Paz de Ariporo, Cravo Norte, Coroza, and Tame. After completing these scheduled stops to transport individuals from isolated regions, the aircraft began its return leg toward Bogotá.

While approaching El Dorado Airport, the flight was approximately eight minutes from its estimated time of arrival. During this final phase of the flight, the airplane impacted a mountain slope in the vicinity of Chipaque. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft and caused 11 fatalities, including both pilots and nine passengers.
