What happened
A flight originating from Bogotá, destined for Tres Esquinas, was transporting a group of engineers tasked with runway renovation work at the destination airport. While performing the final approach to Tres Esquinas Airport, the crew experienced mechanical issues with the aircraft. In an effort to manage the situation, the crew attempted an emergency landing procedure. However, the aircraft struck a wooded area situated approximately 3 km before reaching the runway.
Findings
The crash resulted in two injuries among the occupants. The primary factor leading to the accident was technical problems encountered during the descent phase of the flight.
