What happened
During a flight departing from Villavicencio-La Vanguardia Airport, the crew initiated their descent toward La Macarena. During this phase of the flight, the aircraft experienced the failure of one of its engines. In response to the mechanical issue, the crew declared an emergency and lowered the aircraft's altitude to prepare for an emergency landing.
While attempting a forced landing, the aircraft collided with several obstacles before coming to a final stop in a ditch. Despite the impact, all 29 occupants of the aircraft managed to exit the wreckage without any injuries. The aircraft sustained damage that rendered it a total loss.
