Incident
During the approach phase to El Plumerillo Airport at Mendoza, a propeller blade on the left engine detached from its assembly. The separated blade struck the fuselage and penetrated into the passenger cabin. In response, the captain initiated a descent and executed an emergency landing on a prairie located a few kilometers from the airfield.
Evacuation
All 20 occupants on board evacuated the aircraft safely. No injuries were reported in the source.
Damage
The aircraft sustained damage beyond repair as a result of the blade impact and subsequent landing.
