What happened
During the final approach phase toward the runway threshold at Takoradi Airport, the aircraft suffered a simultaneous failure of both engines. Following the loss of propulsion, the pilot-in-command initiated an emergency descent to perform a forced landing. The aircraft subsequently crash landed a short distance before reaching the runway.
The accident resulted in one fatality among the passengers. Additionally, several other individuals sustained injuries during the impact, with some of these injuries classified as serious.

Official investigations into the incident have not reached a definitive conclusion regarding the precise reason for the dual engine shutdown. However, investigators have not dismissed the possibility that the failure was triggered by fuel exhaustion or the presence of contaminated fuel within the system.
