What happened
During a short-distance flight operating between Bandung and Tasikmalaya in West Java, an aircraft struck the side of Mount Galunggung. The impact occurred as the flight was beginning its descent toward the destination. The collision took place on the mountain's slope, which reaches an elevation of 2,240 meters, at a location situated approximately 18 km northwest of Tasikmalaya.
Findings
