What happened
During a flight originating in Oran and destined for Toulouse, an aircraft vanished while traversing the Mediterranean Sea. Communication via radio and monitoring through radar systems were both interrupted, leaving the plane's exact status unknown. Following the loss of contact, search and rescue operations were launched to locate the missing vessel and its occupants.
After six days of active searching, the mission was terminated because no wreckage or debris could be located. It is suspected that the aircraft went down in the waters situated south of the Balearic Islands. The incident resulted in four fatalities, as all individuals on board were presumed lost following the failure to find any trace of the flight.
Findings
Official investigations into the disappearance concluded without a definitive explanation. Because no physical evidence or wreckage was recovered from the sea, investigators were unable to identify the specific reason for the loss of contact or the subsequent crash.
