What happened
During a flight operating between Santa Rosa and La Paz, an aircraft vanished from radar surveillance while maintaining cruising altitude. The incident occurred amidst unfavorable meteorological conditions. Prior to losing contact, the crew failed to transmit any emergency signals or distress communications.
Following the disappearance, search and rescue operations were launched to locate the missing plane. However, after several days of searching, these efforts were terminated because no wreckage or debris could be located. The aircraft was carrying 24 occupants, all of whom are presumed deceased following the loss of contact.
Findings
Preliminary assessments suggest that the aircraft likely crashed within a remote, mountainous region. It is suspected that navigation errors resulting from the severe weather conditions may have contributed to the accident.
