What happened
During the initial climb phase following departure from Villavicencio-Ernesto Cortissoz Airport, the aircraft experienced a significant mechanical issue. Approximately three minutes after leaving the runway, the captain notified air traffic control regarding engine difficulties. Witnesses and reports indicated that one engine had lost power and was emitting white smoke during the ascent.
In an effort to perform an emergency landing, the crew attempted to steer the plane toward an open field. However, while maneuvering at a low airspeed, the aircraft entered a stall. The subsequent impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft type (unspecified model).
