What happened
During flight operations at Nyköping Airport, an incident occurred involving an aircraft type that resulted in a loss of control. While navigating the airfield, the aircraft veered off the runway and subsequently collided with a stand of trees.
The impact caused significant damage to the airframe, rendering the aircraft a total loss. Despite the severity of the collision, all 27 occupants—including the crew and passengers—managed to evacuate the wreckage without sustaining any injuries.
Findings
Investigations into the sequence of events focused on the environmental conditions present at the time of the accident. The primary contributing factor was identified as the presence of strong cross winds, which compromised the pilot's ability to maintain the intended flight path during the runway phase.
