What happened
During the final approach to Maracay-Los Tacariguas Airport, the aircraft lost control and impacted the surface of Valencia Lake, located a few kilometers offshore. The wreckage remained submerged and was not recovered until thirty-two hours after the incident. Initial reports indicated that the pilot and the passenger sustained serious injuries, while the flight engineer was discovered deceased two days later. The pilot subsequently succumbed to their injuries a few hours after the accident, leaving the passenger as the sole survivor of the crash.
