What happened
During an approach to Al Dabbah Airport, an unidentified aircraft experienced a significant hard landing. Following the impact with the runway, the pilot successfully executed standard braking procedures to bring the plane to a halt. Once the aircraft was stationary and parked, all 31 occupants were able to exit the plane without injury.
Findings
An inspection of the aircraft following the event revealed that the airframe had sustained extreme structural damage. The impact resulted in excessive g loads being applied to the structure, which rendered the aircraft a total loss. Due to the severity of the damage, the aircraft was declared beyond repair.
