What happened
During a scheduled training operation conducted near Qingdao, a Harbin SH-5 seaplane went down in the waters of Jiaozhou Bay. The aircraft, which was operating as part of a mission in the region, impacted the sea a few kilometers away from the coastline. At the time of the accident, the aircraft was carrying a total of five crew members. The impact with the water resulted in five fatalities, as there were no survivors from the flight.
