What happened
During the final approach phase to Valencia-Arturo Michelena Airport, an aircraft crashed into a residential district located approximately 2,055 meters before reaching the runway. The incident occurred while the aircraft was operating in marginal weather conditions. Upon impact, the aircraft was completely destroyed by the force of the collision and a subsequent fire. The crash resulted in two fatalities, as both pilots were killed in the accident.
Beyond the destruction of the aircraft, the post-impact fire caused significant damage to the surrounding area. The flames and debris impacted several nearby houses, a building, and multiple vehicles parked in the vicinity of the crash site.
